[LCH Announce] KPN - Transit Supplier Scheduled maintenance

Hello,

Further to KPN's fun and games over the past few days they have
scheduled a maintenance window to replace/repair the faulty equipment.

The window is set for 05:00-06:00 BST on 02/09/05. The impact will be a
loss of service for upto 30 minutes. This will affect global
reachability of our network for this period. We will monitor the
situation and if it looks like KPN's maintenance goes awry and is at
risk of impinging on the normal daily operation of the network during
business hours (7am BST onwards) we will put our emergency
countermeasures into place.

We apologise on their behalf for this necessary maintenance and assure
you that work is ongoing to acquire the new network equipment required
to not only boost our network capacity by at least 20-fold, but to allow
us to have at least one additional full table transit online permanently
alongside KPN in order to reduce the impact of failures/maintenance on
their network.
