[LCH Announce] Budget dedicated server equipment maintenance Fri 01/04/2005

Hello,

This announcement affects ONLY those customers with "Intel Super Budget"
dedicated servers.

In order to accommodate the newest batch of dedicated servers (a higher
spec, "Budget Plus" model) we are unfortunately going to have to take the
current ones offline for a brief period of no longer than an hour each
tomorrow between 11:00 and 14:00 whilst they are placed into a new cabinet.
This is being done not only to allow for further budget dedicated units to
be installed with ease, but also to reduce the temperature of the equipment
which has unfortunately now been surrounded by other servers as we have been
expanding.

There will be no changes of IP addresses - everything will continue just as
it is.

This work was originally planned for a week tomorrow but has unfortunately
had to be brought forward due to matters beyond my control - I apologise for
the very short notice and will endeavour to keep downtimes for each unit to
a minimum.

Those of you who are waiting on the availability of new servers will be
pleased to know that the higher specification comes at only a minor price
increase.

CPU: Intel P4 2.4GHz
RAM: 512MB RAM
HDD: 40GB
Transfer: 200GB/month

Price: £75/month inc VAT

We've already rented some of the units and only have four remaining so we
recommend that you place a reservation ASAP!

A further announcement will be made to the list when the work is completed.
