[LCH Announce] 213.230.209.0/24 Emergency Maintenance

Hi,

*This announcement only affects customers on 213.230.209.0/24 addresses*

Due to some network equipment having been identified as being at high
risk of failure some emergency maintenance will be being performed on
all equipment on this netblock.

Machine power will also need to be rerouted in order to get new
equipment in and so most if not all equipment will be rebooted during
the maintenance window.

This work is scheduled to occur Sunday 31st of October 2004 between the
hours of 11am and 3pm. Each machine should only be down for 5 to 15
minutes each during the changeover period.

We apologise for the short notice for this maintenance but consider it
to be better to have a 5-15 minute outage per machine than a potential
outage of 4 hours or so if the hardware were to fail suddenly.

Customers who wish to cleanly shutdown their machines are invited to
contact me directly on my mobile during tomorrow only in order to

tomorrow.
