[LCH Announce] Scheduled Maintenance - 05/06/2004 0930-2200

A maintenance window has been scheduled for 05/06/2004, 0930-2200.

Due to the scheduled installation of new equipment to meet new customer's
requirements, and also to add the new batch of dedis that will become
available for sale, it has been decided that the cabinet needs some
restructuring (including the installation of new network switches to support
the increased machine count)

As the cabinet is going to be completely reorganised there is the
possibility for a long outage period (1-2hrs) during this maintenance window
for all servers followed by possible patchy periods where network cabling is
rerouted and replugged into new equipment. The long outage will be during
the beginning of the maintenance period and customer equipment may need to
be powered down during this time in order to restructure the cabinet - we
will telephone you during this week (01/06/04-04/06/04) in order to either
arrange for you to poweroff your server before the maintenance window, or to
setup a root password for use this weekend to allow us to safely turn off
your equipment on your behalf.

If required, we can telephone you when the maintenance that affects your
server is over - please email me before Friday 4th May to arrange this, or
call me during the maintenance window.

We apologise for any inconvenience arising from this maintenance - please
bear with us while we complete this essential rebuild which will help us
better serve you by improving access inside the cabinet.
